Breakfast Sausage Pigs

Pigs in a blanket are delicious! Why not have them for every meal?

These pigs are so easy! This is the perfect breakfast (or any meal) for those weeks that are just so busy you can’t sit down to eat. So when we know its going to be an on the go week I make a large batch of these to eat throughout the week.

My family loves these for breakfast, snacks, lunch and I’m sure they’d even eat them for dinner if I would let them.

To make this as easy as possible I purchase premade crescent roll dough such as Annie’s brand or Immaculate brand (both of which are organic with ingredient lists I can understand). I also purchase premade chicken breakfast sausage. Never Any Maple Chicken Sausage from Aldi is our favorite but we have also used Applegate brand as well.

From there it comes together in a snap. If you have ever made pigs in a blanket it is the same concept.

Quick, easy and ready to go!

Ingredients

  • 1 refrigerated croissant dough (making 8 croissants)

  • 8 breakfast sausages

Directions

  • preheat oven to recommended temperature per your croissant rolls. Mine states to heat oven to 375o Fahrenheit.
  • divide croissant dough into triangles and place sausage on the long end.
  • Wrap croissant up as you would normally around the sausage and place on a lined baking sheet.
  • Bake in the oven for the highest recommended cook time per your croissant rolls. Mine states 12-16 minutes. I baked for 16 minutes. This time could also need to be increased if cooking a large batch. If I have filled two baking sheets with these I will add 2 minutes cooking them for a total of 18 minutes.
  • Store in a sealed contained in the fridge. Will last up to a week.
